You're welcome!
Bough a king-size bed two weeks ago and got my bedlinen from House of Fraser
Ikea are pretty good too - cotton and not too expensive!

Agree with Ikea, also Peacocks do a good range

Thanks all, but the point is the mattress is extra-deep and most fitted sheets are not cut generously enough to tuck under the sides. I can't remember where I bought my present ones but they were advertised as being especially for deep mattresses. Correct me if I'm wrong mrs. pudding, but aren't Ikea beds a different size to British ones?
yes - as I learnt to my cost!  But their sheets fit my king size mattress beautifully (it's almost 10" deep) probably for that very reason!

I am reading this with interest because I have but one fitted sheet for my 10" deep 4' 6" mattress. If it can't be washed and dried in a day, I have to resort to a huge flat white linen thing that is older than I am (& I hate white sheets, too clinical.)

I bought the fitted sheet in a posh shop called Square Pillow in Cheltenham, but have not been able to find any other stockists. And isn't it infuriating that sheets do not have their depth marked? The deeper mattresses are on sale everywhere - but the shops that also sell sheets do not sell the ones to fit their own merchandise! Grr!

www.thewhitecompany.co.uk - you can get poly-cotton or egyptian cotton (these feel like silk when you lay on them/stroke them!!).  the quality is second to none, will last for ages... quality!!!   they may be a little more expensive that some of the other suppliers, but in the long run they will last and not go 'thin'.

oops... it's www.thewhitecompany.com, ie not co.uk!! and don't get me started on their towels and other stuff.  very addictive, especially if you get it in their regular sales!!!
