I've shopped with both of these quite a bit. I generally find that stuff bought from Amazon arrives a bit quicker than Play.com, but this is because Play are based in Jersey. I have always had good service from both, but I must admit I do tend to check Play.com before checking anywhere else.
I've had a couple of items from Play. No problem either time.
Hi woodelf, I have used amazon, play, thehut.com and sendit.com and have found them all fine - I just shop around for the cheapest. i haven't found that much difference in the delivery times, it just depends on what is in stock where.
Personally I find play quicker and usually the same price as Amazon
I find Play quicker as well and find the site more user friendly. Also as postage is free you know how much you're paying upfront without having to add in postage

Many Thanks to one and all. Okay, so it sounds like six of one and half dozen another or swings and roundabouts, but seeing as delivery is free then Play would have the edge. Ta Muchly once again.
definately play...fast delivery and free.
I usually check both Play and Amazon (and Ebay as well). If you shop around you can normally get a good price.
Here's something that nobody has mentioned.

With Play.com you can earn cashback on purchased items through websites such as quidco etc.

Amazon don't allow cashback at all, so you can get stuff cheaper on Play.com and some money back for shopping there.
I would just like to say that if you do go for play.com, be careful as last night someone got into my play.com account and ordered 155.00 worth of goods using my details and credit card. They did this at 10.30 pm when the office was closed and i could do nothing to stop the transaction, and when I phoned this morning to try to stop it the goods had already been sent. I'm sure the majority of people have no trouble and it probably happens at amazon too, but, I just thought it fair to warn you of this.
