I buy a monthly magazine which is priced at 3.99. Last month they advertised that the April magazine would contain a brilliant gift with no mention of the cost of the magazine. I bought the April edition but when I checked my receipt I found that I had been charged 4.99 which is what the cover price showed. The advert for next month's magazine shows that the cover price will be 3.99 so effectively I have been charged 1 for a gift. I could understand it if they were putting up the price of the magazine from the April edition, but as they are reverting back to the 3.99 I feel that this is wrong and I would like to complain to someone about this, but who should I complain to?

I would say a call to yir local trading standards would be a good start, if you go here http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/search/post code-search.cfm you can ype in yir postcode and it give the appropriate contact details.
If you want to TYPE the postcode rather than YPE, you may get on better......
It makes me mad when companies say "Free Gift". Since when did anyone have to pay for a gift?
