I have a little plastic gadget that somehow fits on to a sewing machine to enable you to sew curved edges together. I bought it ages ago at a quilt show and have since lost the instructions!------- as you do!! I now have a mountain of curved seams to sew and the little gadget makes no sense to me at all! Any help gratefully received!

The sewing machine is a Pffaf. I don,t think it makes any difference though, there are several shanks which obviously fit different machines. I just can't see how it fits together!
You may get some idea from http://www.sewingmachine-sales.co.uk/partsDB/i ndex.php?function=detail&recordID=902
though I would suggest taking the gadget along to your nearest dress maker who may give you some idea on how to use it.
Or maybe the kind of thing you have is this?

Fantastic!! That's it exactly!! How kind you are to send piccies too. But I can't tell how to fix it on to my machine!
There should have been 6 adapters with the 'presser foot'. The shortest one fits Pfaff machines. See a list of instructions here.

When you clip the adapter onto the foot, it should end up looking like this. (Scroll down for bigger image).

Thank you so much for all that!! I have now sorted it and it is fixed on to my machine. I have had a little practise and it really works----- quite how I don't know! All set to wade through the pile now!!
