Rather than just complaining to the French about this problem what action should Britain take?

I've never managed to understand this.
A chap comes traipsing through a series of foreign countries from a far away place, in secret, looking for pastures new. I can live with that.
But, if he gets discovered, surely the rules ought to be:
'Why are you here'
'I'm an illegal'
'Are you seeking asylum in this country?'
'No, not here - I'm in transit to another country'
'No, you don't, you're an illegal and you aren't seeking asylum here - we're sending you back to your place of origin'

Cancel the 2012 Games and most of the perceived "problems" of an "invasion fleet of asylum seekers" would largely disappear.

Who better to build to build the olympic stadium than immigrants. That's what the games are all about, the best sportsmen and women from around the world and now probably the best workers as well.
Newsdesk is just an irritant living under the umbrella of the protection (thus far) of Western society. The word "traitor" is hovering somewhere.

We really could do with far more effective border and immigration controls. I mean, it begs the question: Why do so many illegals actually get into the country in the first place?

The BBC lunchtime news today was reporting that the population will be around 70 million by 2050. Thank God I won't be around - could be a bit crowded!!
It has always amazed me how far people are prepared to travel to seek asylum.

I dont think we should accept any end of.

As most arrive from the EU we should stop blaming the politicians and direct our anger at the UK Border agency. They have a right to send them back
