Why is Brown Windsor Soup so-called? I've done a Google search and all I've come up with is the recipe! Apparently, it's brown, but why 'Windsor'? It's not important that I know - I was just curious! Thanks all!

Thanks TW. A well-educated guess, as usual! Although would his name have been put to something that, according to the info I found on Google, was considered to be a 'dreadful' brown soup and 'sub-standard fare'?!!!!!! Who knows, eh? Anyone else have any ideas?
