Is it true that more boys are closer to their mothers and more girls girls are closer to their fathers? You know the old mummysboy and daddys girl thing.I know that most of you probably loved both but who was you closer with growing up and who are you closer to now (if its changed) and why?

Yes.

Your mum is your friend.

Daddy looks after you.
I was always daddys little girl and since he died my mum doesn't speak to me so I'd say yes
My boys are Mummy's boys and always will be!!!
Overall I would say I was closer to my mum for most of my childhood and adulthood - I did have times where I can remember being a Daddy's girl, but not many. When I was a teenager I hated him, as an adult I kind of more understood him and he died 8 years ago so I have no relationship with him at all now.

My boys are definitely Mummys boys now, my eldest at 8 has always been, - he is a ladies man anyway, my youngest is probably a man's man, but in terms of parents he still loves me best ;o).
My husband stayed at home with them as babies, so my youngest always saw men as the mother figure however, since they started school, I am the one that picks them up and does everything with and for them so he has switched his alliegance.
