so, i have shampoo to wash - conditioner to condition - that's pretty straightforward - but what about straightening lotion; wax, heat protector, mud, gel, gel spray, masque, serum, 'funky hair products,' etc etc......? When do i use these products - what order do i use them and what are they for....?

If u have colored hair u need separate shampoo & conditoner. Straitening lotion is for straightened hair (processed). Wax/mud is for styling. Gel is for body, masque/serum is for finishing with a sheen.

Order of use depends on your hair structure? Is it natural or processed (coloured or permed).

Hi - thanks for this - my hair is coloured.

I apply heat protector before drying but do i use it before straghtening too on top of other products?
Any shampoo is ok but conditioner must be extra creamy & left in hair till it thins. Dry with hair dryer, spray protector to each section being straitened.

Rub serum onto palms and spread thru hair for glossy finish.
