I really feel for the good people of N.I, it's a smashing city and one which I have visited a few times, so friendly are the people there, Belfast is a thriving town and the outskirts where the scenery is fab. We have friends who live there and married at the height of the troubles in the 60s, each from a different "side", they have recently celebrated their Golden Wedding, it was very hard for them through the years, they chose not to have kids because of what it was like, and now in their twilight years look what's happening, it is very sad

Hi joy, my son lives in newcastle northern ireland,i havent been across yet but it seems a beautiful place!!!
I'm sure most people are horrified by what is happening in NI at the present time. When you consider the terrible years these people have already suffered, it is unbelievable that it is happening again. We were thinking of touring in Ireland this year, but this has seriously made us rethink.

My sympathies go to the families of the bereaved and to all the people in NI and I sincerely hope that the perpetrators can be found quickly.

been there puddicat, beautiful place sitting at the foot of the mountains of Maughan, I love NI and the people.
Newcastle is lovely, especially now the promenade has been 'done up'. The mountains of Mourne are worthy of the song.
