Pounds or dollars, cash or travellers' cheques are okay (change at banks or money changers) and credit cards are widely accepted.

Use your ATM card - better exchange rate on a cash card (NOT a credit card though).   And but your duty free when you arrive, way cheaper than Heathrow.
