I mean it's one thing saying your job is boring but doing it on a public site that you work mates have access to indicates extraordinary lack of brains can you blame her employer for not wanting to hire such a numpty!

"Her mother, Janette, 41, said ................."She says Clacton is boring but we're not going to throw her out of the house for it." "

oh go on, just for a laugh :)

everyone complains about their job at some point, but to do it where your boss and colleagues can see or hear is just rather dozy isnt it.
I agree, I made the mistake of accepting my boss as a friend on Facebook and so daren't say anything about my job, good or bad! You just never know what might happen...
I agree, regardless of how young she is, she should have shown a little more respect and loyalty to the company who was paying her wages. I also suspect that the company was probably unhappy with her performance anyway, or she may have got away with just a telling off!
She's a young girl of 16 and can only learn from this experience.
What?

I could say directly to my boss that my job is boring and I would not expect to get fired. You are free to voice an opinion. Until her performance is diminished there is no grounds for dismissal.

This is the problem with facebook though. I have pledged to myself never to add work colleagues - it is better not to mix work and private life - but it can be awkward trying to explain your way out of a friend request from an otherwise respected colleague that considers himself a 'friend'.
