My son (just turned 13) has recently developed a small bald spot on the back of his head.
When i checked it last night it looked like there was another spot beside it thinning. What could cause this and could it be a sympton of anything else?

Perhaps it's a form of Alopaecia. Take him to your GP to investigate further.
It 's probably nothing at all to worry about but, as Velvetee said, get it checked by your GP. Do you have any pets by the way?

yes, we have a dog and guinea pigs
Well it could be ringworm, but don't be alarmed, it's not a worm it's a fungal infection that can be caught from furry pets & can be easily treated. Does he (or any of you) have any other rashes?
If it is ringworm your pets will need to be checked & treated.
Don't worry, see your GP asap. All the best.
