I need to transport a small injection vial for 48hrs in the car. It has to be kept at fridge temperature and I'm just wondering what would be the best solution. I've looked at cool boxes but haven't found any that last more than 9hrs (with freeze blocks) but I'm unsure whether that means it's freezer temperature for 9hrs. It mustn't be at freezing temperature. I've been thinking of perhaps getting a thermos flask and popping it in there with a cold gel pack. Anyone got any advice on what to do or any good cool bags/boxes?
thanks

none of those will be good enough. You need one of those small fridges that work off of 12v (cigarette lighter), although what you will do when you stop for the night, i don't know. You need to think of your injection as if it were milk - would you still drink milk if it had been in a cool box for 48 hours?
How about using a cool box/bag and topping it up with these?

you are both absolutely brilliant.

Thank you for solving my problem. I shall get a mini fridge and when the car is stationary for 8hrs on the ferry I shall pop a few of those instant ice packs in the fridge.

Excellent :-)
