Your doctor's treatment is quite correct...........seeing and particularly examining you might make the situation worse.
Be patient.
hi Rosa Congratulations. There are many similar posts on here regarding early pregnancy bleeds and spotting.

Spotting and bleeding in early pregnancy can be quite common and some say it's Implantation bleeding. I had a brown discharge for one day when I was about 8 weeks pregnant and called my doctor, who immediately sent me for a scan.

What is this medication the doctor is giving you? I've never heard of this before. I would insist that he sent me for a scan, to check your embryo is still viable. If he refuses, perhaps take yourself to A&E and wait to be seen.
velvee....bleeding, disharge and abdominal pain is different from "spotting"

Thanks for the quick reply..
the doctor gave a injection called ( Proluton depot cantains Hydroxyprogesterone and hexanoate 250 mg.) twice a week
And a Tablet to take 3 times aday called (Duphaston 10mg contain dydrogesterone.)

i will wait till tomorrow if i feel that im getting worse i will ask for an ultrasound.

Thanks again
Squad, spotting is actually related to bleeding, spotting is where there is blood, that comes sporadically, not necessarily as a constant flow.

As a pregnant woman, who can appreciate exactly what Rosa is experiencing. I feel her doctor should be treating her worries more seriously. She could possibly be having a miscarriage and any responsible GP would send her to the hospital for and early pregnancy scan, not just dismisss things.

guys its not spotting. and had lots of blood on friday every time i went for a wee i would feel blood runing down before the pee would come and the toilet water was all red and now i have a thick dark think coming down along with abdomminal pain.
sorry i wasnt clear before
We are all getting very emotional here:

velvee.... I do know what spotting is and rosa is not describing "spotting"

Asentioned before the GP's treatment is the recognized treatment for a threatened abortion.

At this moment an ultrasound is of liitle use in indicating treatment.

I disagree about an ultrasound being of little use at this time Sqad.Surely it would be better to know if the pregnancy is ongoing/viable and an ultrasound can check for that. If sadly the pregnancy has ended then any further treatment can be started sooner rather than later.
daffy....I see where you are coming from, but :

1) Heart beat visible....treatment is the same.
2) Heart beat not visible.....treatment is the same, for the moment.
8 weeks an absent heart beat doe not necesarily mean non viable foetus.

She will need an ultrasound, but in my opinion now is a bit early.
