Why is this happening in last few weeks with Google?

When I open most of websites it lists, Google opens new windows which is not the website I'm intending to visit. I have to close this new windows and open the website I want to visit once again. This time Google will open the website it means to open.

Why do I have to open the links twice before Google takes me to the website?

For your information when I use Altavista to search websites for me, it does what I wants it to do.

Thanks.

Your PC may have been hijacked by some spyware or malware.

I had one a few months ago that did things similar to this.

Try running malwarebytes to see if it finds any spyware.

Hi VHG,

Thanks for your help.

As advised I downloaded this programme, and had scanned my computer. Oh god this programme found 87 objects got infected. Now they have been deleted off my computer. And Google is now working perfectly again.

Thanks again.
