Why does the guy keep going on about his 40 years no claims bonus - if he just pays to mend the car he won't lose it!

Surely there's no point in having insurance if you're going to pay for the claim yourself?

if you make a claim on most insurance policys it usually affects your no claims bonus thus if it is only fairly cheap to pay to have you car mended its better to do that than loose your no claims bonus
