Has anybody kept Sea Monkeys as pets? Are they too little to notice, somewhat like little tadpoles?

They are actually brine shrimps - about a centimetre long if you're lucky

They can indeed grow to a centimetre. I have had a few lots of them, but I overfed them and they died, but they follow light and stuff so kids have lots of fun with them.

You do notice them, as you can see the food in their stomachs through their transparant body.

My nutty colleague has got sea monkeys and is obsessed with them. She killed her last batch by leaving them in the sun, so dont leave them on a windowseal in the summer! Now she has new babies and loves them.... weird!

You know who you are Lisa!

Oh my god i love Sea Monkeys i have kept them for about 2 years on my desk they are the office pet the do get prety big about 1cm but they are noticable and kinda freaky! takes about three days to see them clearly and then they get bigger they attach themselves to each other and they don't need cleaning a little food once every 2 days is all it takes!
I didn't realise they were actual animals and didn't feed them so they all died. They were bought from a joke and novelty shop, and I thought they were just little bits of dust or something floating about. But an interesting fact: Sea people + Sea Men = Sea Ciety, as witnessed by Master Cartman.
flahspig, I was just thinking about that episode! HaHaHa!!
Goldfish love to eat them... they go mad for them... drop some in and see what happens!!
