I want to spend between 300 and 500 on a tv (widescreen, minimum 28'). Anybody got any suggestions on a good buy? Or knows a good site to do some research? Thanks!

One place to start looking would be http://uk.pricerunner.com/ , here you can search for TV's with addition filters (widescreen, screen size, flat or tube etc..). You can then sort them by price. After you've found one you like then search the web for that particular model (you might get a better price). 8-)
Try Makro. I got a 32" widescreen there a couple of months ago for 299 plus the VAT and they are always doing special offers on combo's with DVD players and videos
Try http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/ I recently bought a PHILIPS 32" Widescreen from them and it's fantastic. (Can't remeber the model I'm at work). I spent nearly a month comparing prices and they were very good. Saved myself over 100 compared to Curries and Dixons. Good luck.
