I am trying to use a USB grabber to transfer old videos to dvd. It works perfectly when connected to a dvd player via an AV cable but not when connected a VHS player - anyone got an ideas?

I think the problem is that the DVD is a digital signal and the VHS is analogue. You would need to get software that can take an analogue signal and convert it to digital first. there certainly is software for converting audio from analogue to digital, I have done that with all my old LP's so I am sure someone here will come up with a video version of the converter
