I have round red itchy lumps. My GP says it is something similar to heat lumps. It is cold, There are no insects around and any dogs I know have no fleas.I have used a hot water bottle as it is cold. What could the problem be?

I'm no expert but I believe 'heat rash' is a fungal infection. Although associated with hot weather it can also be a nuisance during cold weather when you wrap up warm and the circulation of air is restricted around the body. Under the arms is a common place for this. The chemist is able to sell a cream without prescription.
