cool. my ratings only a cadet (nearly o/c) but next week i'm being Duty Senior Rate !!!! but i am one of the oldest (i only joined last summer) and most sensible and theres three people in my division that normaly take charge but they're letting me have a go.

btw. we have two uniforms. one that looks like a proper sailors outfit that the navy wear (my jacket actually belonged to someone in the navy who then gave it 2 cadets after they finished with it) and working rig which is dark blue trousers blue longsleeved shirt navy jumper and beret.

prep goes up ships comany ho (turn divisions inboard if theres two squads but when mine is on duty its normally 1 squad i face flag) (flag person says colours ma'amm / sir) i say piper still piper pipes i salute for 3 seconds (turn everyone inboard but might not need to turn to ma'am or sir salute - colours completed ma'am / sir ships company awaiting your address. he or she'll say what to do i salute and do it.

someone must know. it better not be a cadet night somewhere and so they're not on here. come to think of it i don't know if all cadets across th country are on at the same time or if they decide between themselves what the best days are. anyoneknow either?
