My doctor has told me I am officially menopausal today and is causing such bad symptoms, he has given me tablets, creams and all sorts. What a super time awaits me in the future. Painful nookie to boot and all on Valentines day.
I need a hug...please?

oh bless big hugs from me.....dont worry we will all be going through it soon xxx
It's not all bad!!! There are some good things too, umm, ummm, I think of something in a minute!

BIG HUGS coming your way.
It's ancient history for me now :o(.

Oi!! lottie......you have been fibbing....what about those chocolate baths?

Listen all.....lottie told me that she enjoyed being bathed in chocolate and all the chocolate then licked off by "someone"

"Ancient history" my foot.

not "hot flushes" but "power surges"!
some good things:
no more pms, every day is christmas day
no more spending money on 'womens products' every month, throw away those 'period pants'
no more risk of unwanted pregnancy
no more taking the pill or other more messy precautions
you can say and do exactly what you want because you are officially a menopausal woman and it's expected of you
overnight you have turned into a very wise woman (according to some) whose opinions will be respected
you will become invisible to certain sections of society enabling you to do what the he*l you want
this is a good time, embrace it and enjoy it!

ps. painful nooky gives way to experimentation with various lubricating gels and 'things' adding a whole new dimension :)
saves on your heating !!!!

When you get the hot hot hot flushes I recommend you get a chillo pillow - you feel it with water and it keeps you cool during the night.

Lots of hugs
absolutely - I have been using the summer weight duvet all year round ever since I hit the menopause!!
Hah !! try having hot flushes whilst living with a husband with under-active thyroid... it aint no joke!! the duvet is on-off on- off all night long!!
bin the duvet and use fleece blankets instead, they're much more adaptable.
HRT !!!

my mums been on it for yrs and wont give it up because she says she likes her nookie too much :)

couple of months going mental when i was in my late teens and i remember having to come home from the club right after paying in coz she phoned to cry and panic and tell me noone loved her etc.....

got the right hrt for her after a few tries and she's been great ever since. She'd tell you it's the best time of your life after. xxx

Swapping periods for a goatee beard. Deep joy - not!
my goatee appeared about 4 years before the periods stopped. the good thing is my eyesight also started failing so i can't see it without my specs on - out of site, out of mind.
seriously,go online and order some Yes lubricant-it's the best thing ever!
I am 31 and had to have a hysterectomy due to a genetic mutant which means I will most likely have gotten cancer unless I had this op. I can't have HRT so am going it alone. You have to think positive - write down all the good things which menopause will bring you - no more sanitary towels or tampax, no more period pains, think of something you always wanted to do and go for it girl! You MUST think positive. My suggestion is write things down - when you are feeling down, read them and all will become clear. I can't have children and that kills me, but there is so much more which this life can offer you.......... live it! Lots of love xxxx
awww hugs to you bessieboo5 xx
Hi bessieboo. I had the partial op last year - at the age of 29. I decided against HRT, and feel fine - which shows you and eyeshade that not everyone suffers when they go through the menopause. My mum hardly noticed it either. All she had were a few gentle flushes, which she said felt quite pleasant! For those who DO get unpleasant symptoms, there are quite a few remedies, but some folk sail through it. x
awww hugs to you too icey x
Big cyberspace hugs to all who are in need of some....
