What is the title of the painting by D G Rossetti...it has three nudes (from waist up) in a lily pond. The nudes are on right of painting looking/smiling to the left. Ta Muchly.

Sounds from the description very like 'Hylas and the Nymphs' ...by Waterhouse!

I agree with Lil O'lady,
Your description sounds far more Waterhouse than Rossetti.
(as seen in the Waterhouse picture above)

Dear Lil O'Lady and Mr V. I've had someone look at the Waterhouse painting of Hylas and the Nymphs but what I described is not there in that painting. I should have explained that I saw what I'm on about in a catalogue of fine art prints very many years ago and there were only these three female figures in it...in a lily pond...that's all what was shown on the print and how it would be sold...just as that image - so whether it is a painting alone or part of another painting, I cannot be sure and I only remember it being very Pre-Raph etc. Ta Muchly for your help though and if anything else strikes....?
