Advice on an assault?
I am looking for advice. On Saturday night my boyfriend and his 2 friends got into a fight outside a local nightclub. It started over a stupid argument about wearing runners trying to get in.
My boyfriend got into a verbal argument with a man who got very aggressive and turned and kicked another fiend who hadn't been involved at all in the groin. He fell to the ground and when he was there the guy swung and punched him. Our friend then started to punch this guy back. My boyfriend pulled his Friend off this guy and they ran leaving one fo their friends behind who then got in an argument with this guy.
The bouncers of the nightclub broke it up and the friend who was left behind was taken to the station.
The person who started the fight was taken to hospital and need 3 stitches. He has decided to press charges. My boyfriend and his 2 Friends are 3 decent guys. They have never been in trouble with the law all have good jobs and are not violent people. Not excusing any ones behavior a lot of drink had been had that day.
What can happen to my boy friend and his friend? I am worried sick that he will get a criminal record. He has never even had a parking ticket and is really shook up by this. Will he be implemented in this?

My son & stepson got involved in an utter unprovoked attack. CCTV cameras in the town proved their integrity & the guilty parties had to pay them compensation. Are your boyfriend & colleagues covered with CCTV or reliable witnesses to prove their point & demonstrate that they were the innocent viictims? In which case he'll have no problems with the law or job.
They could get done for causing an affray. I mean...you DON'T turn up at a club wearing trainers, for goodness' sake, so your bf shouldnt've argued about that one.
I hope there IS CCTV footage, because it seems unusual for a doorman to kick someoine in the way you said, for no other reason than that your bf and his pals wouldn't take no for an answer. If the dooman gets done for assault, he'll probably lose his job at the least. If your bf and mates get the same, it depends on how they plead, and what evidence there is.
