Forgive me for posting this here as well as a comment on an earlier post, but thought as original question was answered , no one might see it. This is original question: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Technology/Comp uters/Question701299.htmlToday

This is my latest problem:
I went to control panel and clicked on Add/Remove programs, in order to remove the earlier versions of Java. It just wont open, clicked on it loads, even rebooted, still won't open.I put Sfc /scannow (press enter) into command prompt and had it check all windows files. It did that taking half an hour to complete, but closed and told me nothing. I defragged C/D drives and checked them for errors, still no joy. Could anyone tell me please what's wrong and can I fix it. Many thanks.

Something very nasty seems to have happened to your registry. Time to use System Restore, maybe?
