calculating stress of a material.

Hey.
I carried out an experiement on some wire to find the breaking stress.

The result is that the wire is 0.28mm thick, and the force applied until it snapped is 1501.11grams. I know that stress = force / area. but im not sure which units i need to convert them too.

I'm guessing you suspended the mass from the wire, so the force would be mg = 1.50111*9.8 N

the area is 1/4*pi*diameter squared = 0.25*3.14159265... * (0.28*10^-3) squared

This will give you the stress in pascals.
