When I turn on my X-box 360 everything is fine for the first couple of minutes but then the screen goes to a single random colour, sometimes grey, sometimes pink, sometimes green. I can still hear sound and the controller still seems to work i.e. I can still shoot etc. Sometimes the picture will come back again but it's usually too late (either I'm dead or the other side has scored). Does the same thing on all games. Any ideas of the cause of the problem and fixes? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Is this just when you use the 360 or is he fault with the TV/monitor you're using. What you describe sounds more like an LCD screen fault. If it was the 360 it is unlikely the picture would come back. Remember the 360 is just a PC really and will crash (maybe wih 3 red lights) and need rebooting in this sort of scenario.

Thanks for the response misterg1970 - TV seems OK, working with everything else. It's now moved on to the next scenario - just a get a 'no signal' message on screen. Waiting to get a spare 360 from somewhere to do a final check - telly or Xbox. Thanks again for your help.
