How about a vote for those of us who work and aren't entitled to benifits to recieve a cold weather payment?

Just because we do work, it doesn't mean we are any better off for it. We still feel the cold just as much as anyone else, however we don't recieve any help at all heating our houses.

Sad aint it BOO....we worked for your beginnings; free birth/healthcare/schools/uni's etc......you're turn to 'keep the kettle boiling.

Yes, as a tax paying senior citizen who doesn't get these benefits - why should I pay your gas or electric bill?

The government has no money - it is tax payers money they give away.

Seeing as I'm on income support & not eligible but people who are on the sick & already getting �30 a week more than I do are, this is a bit of a sore point at the minute . Just had electric bill for �221 for the last quarter . Works out at �27 from my �61 a week to pay .
Not all of us are coining it in on the dole .
