i got excma between my eyebrows. does it spread and is there a cure?
Question Author
Think so kite, i used to get it now agin on my face!!!
hi i dont really know much about it but my mates girlfriend does get it on the back of her legs an when she is stressed out she says when she goes on holidays sumwhere warm the sun does wonders for it so maybe a sunbed may help sorry not much good to you
I've used Alphosyl HC cream from my GP on skin between my eyebrows - it works for a while then comes back. But I did try Marigold and Chickweed (sounds nice ahh?) healing ointment and it's stayed away and I just used it now if my skin doesn't feel/look normal.

Different things seem to suit different people though. My friend uses bio oil which he says relieves the itch but not for me.

Good Luck

Thanks nanny!!
pudditcat - try using oatmeal - its brilliant - put some in a muslin bag and suspend it under the bath taps - i had an unbelieveable reaction to something or other -red weals, itchy, bring the gun and i'll shoot myslef - remembered Mummy's teachings and used the porrige oats -mixed some with water and soaked hands in it -only thing that worked - have had chemo so am reluctant to use much that isn't natural - keep me posted! go well
I got some eumovate from over the counter as it's been great though i only get little patches so only use it sparingly, may be different if you need to use it on larger patches.

Just checked though and it is a steroid but don't think it's as strong as betnovate with is prescription only...

Have you tried aloe vera gel, I find it really soothing. There is an aftersun one by Banana Boat I have and it's great.

carmalee will try the oats in the bath, but i am struggling to get muslin around here, didnt no you could get eumovate over the counter seeing its a steroid based cream!!!
reckon anything would work - its only to stop the oats blocking the plug hole - be interested to know if it works as well for you.

Right next challenge is to think of a subsitute for muslin, that would let the water flow through the material!!!
ladies tights or stockings

This could be worth a try....also for you Carmalee.........
Also there is a cream in chemists called AVEENO which has oatmeal in it.........

I find that Aqueous cream is a good substitute for the steriod cream - not ongoing but intermitently to give you a break from it.

You can even wash with it - use in place of soap - which such a relief when your mid-flare up
That didn't work............try this and click on free sample

Sorry, being a pain here. On the web site under products it lists bath, shower and hand wash but you can also buy a moisturising cream, which is what i have used.....
