I am a Support Worker for a male that has moved to Burnley, the person is in need of some Bedroom Furniture, eg/ Wardrobe, Chest of draws etc, the person has very little money to offer, has anyone or is anyone in that area getting rid of any Items that I can use? We can sort out the pick up if need be, Also I believe there is a place at Burnley that donates furniture for a very small cost does anyone know of their contact details? I would be very grateful for any help, This post is not for self gain but for someone like a lot of people that cannot help him/herselfs. Thank you very much.

Has Burnley got a freecycle centre? There is always someone giving something away to make space in the home. I haved offloaded lots of stuff, but I am too far away to help you with this one.

Thank you, Yes I have their site on my PC but i am still searching.
TWR, I appreciate you say your friend has very little money to offer but the market being what it is the furniture stores should be almost giving away stuff now. People are simply not buying and they should welcome ANY customer. Get him to ring round the Burnley outlets and ask for discounts on the discounts. He'll probably get them!!

Good luck!

Hi cully, One problem, the person has no speech, Without going into detail regards his money As I have said the person has very little & I do mean little. I am looking around the charity shops for their help. Thank you for your response. Regards T.W.R.
Have you had a word with Burnley Social Services. A couple of years ago some church groups used to collect used furniture. St Vincent de Paul was one of them but I have been unable to get any contact details for them.

Also I think a couple of the wards in Burnley have help groups which try to help the needy. Burnley Council may be able to help with their details.

Good luck
