I have the pc version and it is multi player online. There are quite a few servers for this game.

No it isn't, TF2 is a multiplayer only game regardless of format. As you're buying it with the rest of The Orange Box stuff it's not the end of the world as Half Life 2 and the Episodes and Portal are single player games and absolute must play games in my book as well.

You'd be missing out on the joys of TF2 though, it's a marvellous game

Sorry, forgot to add that there's no split screen multiplayer. It would be pointless even if there was as you need at least 4 on a team to make the game feasible unless you enjoy running around large maps trying to find each other
