I have just seen in the Sunday Express the 'Amazing Video Grabber' which can instantly record your old videos directly on to your computer's hard drive. Have any readers used this bit of equipment. Any comment would be appreciated.

Many thanks

There are plenty of other devices that do this already, just search uner Video capture.

Just remember that storing video on your hard disk can take up a HUGE amount of disk space.

A much better way of getting videos into DVD format is to just get a domestic DVD recorder and connect a VHS player to it and go direct from VHS to DVD in one go.

Just "play" the Video and "record" on the DVD.

I do this to copy all my home VHS to DVD.
