70s (kids?) tv show

I remember watching a kids(?) tv show in the 70s where people were turned to stone in a stone circle. Possibly a scene where a child finds the stones getting closer? It's not the (excellent) Children Of The Stones; can you help identify it?

i werent born in the 70's so what have i missed out????!

some actual intelligent drama aimed at kids, that's what!

Companies like HTV produced masterpieces of terror for kids like 'Children of the Stones' and also showed progs like Sapphire & Steel - scarier than the X Files but shown at 5.15pm! I've bought these shows, and others like Dick Turpin, Ghosts of Motley Hall and much more on dvd and they stand up to the tests of time
