I've been bugged by this question for many years. Perhaps someone else can help me. I used to watch a regular TV programme as a child in the 60s. It always started in an american city (i think), when a guy pulls up to the side of the road and walks through some double doors, continuing deeper into the building through a series of double doors. Unfortunately this is all I can remember about it. Can anyone tell me the name?

Could it be The Pink Panthor?

Good effort thanks. But not what I was looking for. Although that did have a similar beginning
I seem to recall that the opening titles of Get Smart had Maxwell Smart (Agent 86) pulling up infront of a building in his Sunbeam Tiger and then walking through an inordinate number of different sets of doors to reach CONTROL.  Later series had the car changed to a VW Karman Ghia.
And in the end titles the last set of doors shut in his face!
It's definately Get Smart
