im trying to trace a relative and she got married in tenerife she lives in the uk i need to find out her new surname would she of had to register the wedding in the uk registry office

i know the area she lives so the local registry office but not where exactly

No, she would not have had to register the marriage in the UK. There is no legal requirement to do so, and very few do it.
