I haven't bought The Racing post for horse racing in a long time, amd planning on a boxing day bet as I missed the racing last year :(

I'm wondering what the current price is? and is the boxing day racing paper still sold on Xmas Eve?

Instinct,
Racing post is 1.60 midweek, 1.80 saturdays -- not too sure about Sundays.
It is usually on sale Boxing day.
Are we to assume that your AB name will play a part in your selections ?

Thanks all for replying.

It was 1.50 last time I bought it so I dont mind paying that little extra and at the worst like Elvis pointed out I can pick up one of the tabloids.

@ ken-d-wood

I do look at some of the websites but I like to chose my runners on Xmas Eve/ Xmas day from the paper.

@ pilotlight

I'm hoping it does play a decent part in my selections.

Instinct, However tells me that Kauto Star is going to Fall or unseat the Jockey.

I don't know what I fancy yet from looking at the race on sporting life website. I'm not sure if I like the 2nd favourite.

I might just stick a couple of quid on Air Force One.

Thanks again all. Atleast, I know my options for my trip to the newsagents.

I have to disagree with you there Instinct, Kauto Star will win easily
Ruby wasn't on Kauto Star last time out and will win.

I'm betting

I.30 - Breedsbreeze

2.05 - Punjabi

2.40 - Kauto Star +Our Vic eachway

ken,
Slight profit onthe 2 winning bets then !

@ ELVIS68

I just can't see Kauto Star doing it this time. It has to lose the King George eventually. I'm always on the first 4 horses in a race

I settled on Our Vic, and my lad chose as a interest today snoopy loopy.

@ ken-d-wood

My lucky 15 is

1. Market man -1.30 kemp

2. Pierrot Lunaire - 2.05 kemp

3. Laredo Sound -3.15 kemp

4. Bishops Bridge 3.45 kemp

I have a good few more bets being placed over meetings, But one horse that got me thinking was Lemon Drizzle at 12.45 sedgefield.

Funny enough, it is a filly by Our Vic I believe. I'm rather drunk now so I could be wrong on that , But that sounds right and it is 10/1 in the sun tabloid.

After asking this question. I didn't even manage to get hold of the racing post :( I mainly chose them off sporting life.

The newsagent said last copy had gone, So I guess next year, I'll reserve it.

My lads 4 timer is just incase anyone wants to waste 1.50 on the ultimate bet :)

Snap Tie - 2.05 kemp

snoopy loppy - 2.40

The Market Man - 1.30

Rodrigo Gonzalez - 3.15

He can't have a bet, But I can stick a fly bet on and treat him well, if it wins :)

@ pilotlight

I'm sticking a quid treble on them. I have bet against them all and all that you have said should be in it near the finish. Although, My choices seem to be better value :)

Merry Xmas guys and I wil probably catch you on boxing day for a chat regarding the days events :)
ken,
Did you collect your slight profit from the 2 winners ?
Yeah - would of got a treble up if punjabi didn't fall.

Can't wait for the Cheltenham festival and the national

its free if you can take it off the wall of your local bookies
