I'm prepared to call a truce today ...
Mr Francis Shergold has died, aged 89.
Mr Shergold was the Squire and President of the Bampton Traditional Morris Men, and his dedication to Morris Dancing did much to preserve the tradition.
Now, generally, a guy who told me that he was a Morris Dancer would achieve the same status as a guy who told me that (for example) he had sex with his sister.
But, just for the rest of today, following the sad death of Mr Shergold ... I will call a truce.
