Hi I have a Epsom Stylus C44 Printer, I have recently changed the black ink in the printer but for some reason its not printing in black, the ink level is showing that the black is full but its only printing in colour. Any suggestions please. Thanks

Have you tried going to the maintenance option for the printer and cleaning the head ?
Did you manage to sort out your problem? I'm not a computer whiz-kid - far from it - but I do have the same printer and if you need help, submit an answer on your first query and I'll try to assist.

first reply did not work.
Sometimes if the printer hasn't been used for some time, the head gets blocked with dried ink. You could try the head cleaning process again.
If that fails you might try to get from a computer shop a cleaning cartridge for the black head for this model printer. It's an ordinary cartridge filled with cleaning fluid. Load it into the printer and try printing a black and white copy or two. Obviously you're not likely to get a print because there's no ink but the idea is to run the cleaning fluid through the print head and dissolve any dried ink. This solved a similar problem I once had. Hope it works for you.

Hi.. I should also have suggested that with the cleaning cartridge installed, go through the clean head routine again. Good luck.
