measles

hi putting this here in the hope of a quick response! just wondering if a child can get measles even if they have been imunised?

I presume so. My son got mumps and he was imunised.

Yup & my two got whooping cough

I must say though that he didn't seem to be as poorly as I did when I had it. He had to stay off school for 2 weeks even though he felt fine after about a week.

oh pants. hope my little one hasnt got measles, the older is just getting over chicken pox and he has a rash that goes from under his right arm all down his side and is starting to spread round the back and front of his body, have checked it and it does disapear under pressure so no worries about the dreaded M but still he neve gets anything like this and is rarely ill. im still ill after 3 wks and dont need anymore illnesses in the house, im starting to feel frazzled!!!

Has he got a tempreature?

hes only starting to get over what seemed like the cold and a cough. he eats and drinks everything under the sun so would be really shocked if he had an allergy. hes 3. hasnt eaten or drank anythin different and i havnt changed anything i use like washing powder etc, got drs at 4pm so hopefully they will help(not banking on it tho) also hoping the dr will fire me thru a script for this cough as my ribs feel like they are broke from the coughing.

Is he well in himself. You can sometimes come out in rashes when recovering from illness.

hes perfectly happy as always, likkle bit naughtier than normal but think thats normal with coming of age ie troublesome 3's! not sure what to make of it.

little crx had the cold / puke bug over xmas and 2 days after got a rash like measles again. only lasted 24 hours

hes had this for a wk. saw the out of hrs dr on sat while my daughter was getting chicken pox diagnosis and dr justa gave me some diprobase cream, to be hinest if it were just a normal rash the diprobase should have started to clear. it wasnt as far round his body then so has definately spread

its not unusual to have a faulty batch of the immunisation, although the docs contacted us when that was the case, so it could be re done. hope is ok soon.
