Hi guys, have never been and I am looking to go with my partner some time this year. Possibly May/June. I am wondering if it is cheaper to go and stay at the resort or whether its better to stay in the city. I really only want to go for 3/4 days, but would prefer to only go to disneyland for a day or 2. Then we can explore Paris itself, as I have never been there either. So is it cheaper to stay in the city and buy disneyland tix and get a shuttle or stay at the resort and shuttle out to the city. Any money saving tips for when I book my trip too would be greatfully recieved.

how do you intend getting to Paris?
(this might affect which option suits you)
Much depends on what you want from the holiday. Disneyland is about 10 m from the centre of Paris as the crow flies. There is a regular train service: http://parisbytrain.com/rer-train-paris-to-eur o-disney/
The resort hotels at Disneyland are OK but on the expensive side especially when it comes to food and drink - alcolhic drinks are deliberately overpriced to discourage drunken behaviour, hence the petrol station on the main road doing a roaring trade....
You can get every variety of hotel / price in Paris but you need to decide how much of your trip you want to spend travelling rather than looking round either Paris or Disneyland.
In addition at certain times of year Disneyland can get very crowded, making it practically impossible to see and enjoy the parades etc.
As a compromise, why not plan to go to Disneyland, say by Eurostar, stay for one night there, then spend the rest in Paris?

again depends on the cheapest option - either fly or eurostar, we dont drive.
The thing about Eurostar is you are deposited literally at the resort - no getting taxi or hire car from airport
