Have you seen a doctor?
Question Author
yes, at first i was put on olanzapine, i don't even know what that is! i have been on and off anti depressants and beta blockers non stop, i've seen psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellers ect ( however i have to admit not always being honest with them)
whatever you are not being honest about.... do you think that is the cause of your condition? perhaps you drink more than you care to admit, or drugs.....? your doc/psych or whoever cant possibly help if you are unable to be honest.
Jodie, I'm not sure anyone here is qualified to give you advice about your condition. You should seek specialist help, as I'm sure you know.
Everyone has a story Jodie.....see your doctor and be honest.
Agree dont be ashamed we all have issues and will be here for you!!!
HONESTY=the doctor can make the right diagnosis, prescribe the right medication and you get your head and your life back to normal!

DISHONESTY=the doctors make the wrong diagnosis, give you the wrong medication, you get a lot worse and you start experiencing loud voices and frightening visions and are maybe driven to harming yourself, killing someone or committing suicide! (sorry for being so brutally hard and honest on you,but ive known people in this situation and the ending was'nt pretty!) GO AND SEEK HELP!

thanx guys, i am totally drink and drug free, have been for a very long time. i am going to b honest, the only reason i'm not is because i am scared of what they might say and more so of what my mom will, she would have alot of trouble accepting the idea of me having a more serious mental illness. x
Hi Jodie, I would advise you to stay away from anti depressants and the lot, as you will become dependant on these for the rest of your life. Your GP will only presribe these and nothing else.

I had severe anxiety and panic attacks about two yrs ago and wanted to avoid the reliance on drugs. somehow through research on the internet, I came across a herbal solution called Aconite tablets. These are freely available from Boots and can be taken three to five times a day. you can then greadually reduce the use as your nerves improve and anxiety attacks reduce. It took me about three months to get back to normal. I still get the occasional reminders on the back of my mind but the attacks do not actually occur anymore. I used to feel suicidal. Now I am so plsd to be normal.....

Pls contact if you need to via the same.

it's the Ad Man ^
Jodie,DO NOT listen to Solly in the message above mine.If you need anti-depressants then take them as prescribed by your mental health practitioner.
I agree with Daffy.

Just think of it as righting a chemical imbalance as you would take medicine for other illnesses.
