Lou and Andy from Little Britain was number  1
i couldn't actually believe it, i mean, i like them, but HOW?!??! number one?!?! seriously, out of all of the choices, how, HOW?!??! did they win?!?!?! it's just not right
I couldn't agree more!  And don't get me started on four candles at number 5.
i know it should have been a monty python sketch, they are the kings of sketch based comedy
And no Pete and DUd anywhere in the list?
Pete and Dud are in there twice - the "Dagenham Dialogues" (I know they were published in book form under that title, but to me they'll always be "the Pete and Dud sketches") and also "One Leg Too Few" (which is from Beyond The Fringe originally, but it's still Peter Cook and Dudley Moore).

What?  The chandalier scene(IMHO the funniest scene ever) nor the one where Del falls through the bar, both from Only Fools and Horses didn't make it?

Everyone who voted must be under the age of 22!

Or were they excluded because sitcoms weren't allowed in?
That's correct . It wasn't scenes from sitcoms but sketch shows only.
if you don't agree with these choices there are two considerations to take into account on these public voted top whatevers..
1. the type of people that take time out to vote in these surveys, who are they and have they nothing better to do, the fact that it is relied on these types really is not a good cross section, or is it, did you vote? no i thought not!
2. new comedy /music/tv whatever will always prevail because it is newer in the mind.

this top 50 sketches is a prime example, because although little britain is ok, the sketch chosen cannot conceivably be the funniest sketch ever made, alot of monty python stuff was a million times funnier.. and a million times more un PC!
