I would like to nominate Andy Hughes for three reasons. Firstly, he is a fount of all knowledge, or at least appears to know an awful lot about an awful lot and takes time to provide people with comprehensive replies to their questions. Secondly, he can spell and has a good grasp of grammar, which pleases my editorial mind. Thirdly, I read his contributions for months and months and had always visualized him as being in his very early thirties, perhaps a bit younger. Imagine my surprise when he mentioned that one of his daughters was in her twenties . . . he thus gets my vote for Ageing Gracefully.

Thank you Ravenhair, I am flattered to appear to present myself as a thirty-something, I am in fact 48 in two weeks! I'd like to nominate Incitatus, if he's still with us - his reply to the question about a fly hitting a windscreen was breathtakingly scientific, plus his incisive arguments about most other points raised. I'd also like to nominate Ravenhair because she has always maintained a high level of objectivity, and has never descended into the petty bitching that affects the AB from time to time, and she's an 'NYPD Blue' fan - what more can one ask!
