I have an older Panasonic 22" TV with remote control. The problem I have with it is that there is a code of sorts permanently displayed on the screen. I dont know what I did to get it there but I have no idea how to get rid of it either. It reads C46TN and is most distracting.
Can you suggest a way to get rid of it please?

These are the instruction to remove it from a Hitachi TV so have a go, you just never know.

You need to press the two "record" buttons on the remote until the menu appears, switch the set to standby and then switch back on.
Looks like it may be coming from the VCR, is that possible?

Thank you Wildwood.
It was a bit trial and error as there is only one record button but by improvising we got there and the code has gone.
It means we can see peoples heads on the screen now. Great. Thanks again to you and the others who made suggestions.
