Starving hungry on waking!

Why is it that if you eat a lot (ie a really big meal) before you go to bed, you wake up really hungry? Whereas if you eat a normal amount, you don't? Or is this just me?!

I've found that too! Havn't got a clue why though...I'd be interested to know though!

the glucose and glycogen levels that effected changes in your hypothalamus probably didn't reset it the right way, so you still retain the hungry feeling at dawn. I used to get it in my forties and early fifties.

Experts will tell you it's a bad idea to eat before bed as your system should be resting rather than working to digest a meal.

I always thought that it was something to do with your stomach expanding (with the huge meal) which makes you feel starving in the morning as it has stretched !!?? someone was probably having me on - but it kind of makes sense !!

I was just about to ask this, and I think I shall ask it again, to see if anyone has any more views on the subject.
