We need to find a new home commutable both ways to London and Brighton. Any useful suggestions for reasonable, pleasant location with good train links and good schools?

Haywards Heath. At least 8 trains an hour morning and evening to London (Victoria, London Bridge and Thameslink) and 4 an hour to Brighton. 45 min to London, 20 to Brighton.

Very affluent area - some of the best state schools (according to league tables) for many miles.
