Has anybody heard whether the brilliant Kenneth Branagh version of the Wallander stories is going to be repeated? I missed the first one and would like to catch it if I can. I can't see any sign of this on the web but wondered if anybody had read anything in a newspaper perhaps. Thanks very much everyone, Happy New Year.

Initially I thought it was me as I just couldn't get 'into' Wallender. I know KB is a good actor and I know the story lines are good - but there just was no grip, pace or interest.

The critics praised it and then in the S Times supplement someone said it had a feeling of emeror's new clothes! I was not alone it seems. I don't think there will be a repeat too quickly.

As a thought compare it with the exellent Spooks?

Oh I disagree, I thought it was excellent. KB portrayed the depressive detective with great subtlety I thought. I understand the ratings were very good and there is talk of making more, I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but it was definitely mine.
