I send bulk-mail occasionally (via HTML format) but I have one colleague whose mail box rejects my message
presumably because he is set up for receiving Plain text only. To change his outgoing mail to HTML is easy but I am not sure of the adjustments he needs to make in order to receive HTML.
Past experience tells me there are lots of you out there who will have an answer for me so thanks in advance and a Merry Xmas to you all.

Generally speaking, setting the read option to Plain Text Only will not cause an HTML e-mail to be rejected, it will simply cause it to be displayed without any fancy formatting. If you are bulk mailing, I would have thought that rejection would be more likely to be caused by his anti-spam settings.
