Havent had any problems at all with BT...and incredibly easy to set up

I use Gioserve. 7.99 a month for 50 hours a month. No problems, just occasionally a delay at 6 pm when people come home from work.

Not braodband obviously, but we cn't get that out in the sticks anyway.

(www.gioserve.com). Not sure whether this still on offer for this price.
I have had BT for 3 years and I have not had a problem. Recently upgraded to broadband - had some driver problems and they gave me very helpful phone support.
I have been with Pipex for the last 4 months (through the phone line) and found it to be 100% reliable.  Before that I was on Blueyonder (Cable) and found these to be 100% reliable also. (Changed due to house move).

I have been with Blueyonder since it first started and can't complain.

No problems with nTL broadband but you have to live in a cabled area. You can check this on their website.

Impret-Sir, please do not go with Tiscali, they are the ISP from hell and the most complained about isp.

If you are fluent in punjabi or urdu, then their call centre in India will be fine for ordering a curry, but don't expect them to solve any problems, technical or billing as they are reading off a script and probably know less about pc's than a 5 year old. AVOID TISCALI (ripped off customer.. been with them for many years.. finaly excaping).

Thanks for all the answers folks, my current ISP 0800dial was playing up so I was considering giving them the elbow, but they seem to have sorted themselves out at the moment, so I will see how it goes. And thanks for the warning Kev, (from another Kev in UK), sadly the far eastern help desk seems to be a common problem these days, I guess its cheaper to set up, but you are right, the communication problems can be difficult.
