You watch tv , you go to the local shopping center.

And if you look.

Tell me.

Do you see the christmas spirit?

Because i just see a lot of folk acting out some preconceived idea and pretence of xmas.

Ita all abiout the tiys , the gifts and getting overfed and drinking too much.

On reflection it looks like an imitation of a reality that doesnt exist.

Call me a cynic or a realist?

Have a very merry overstufffed , pigged out , exorbitant , christmas.

IM SURE JESUS WANTS YOU FOR A SUNBEAM.

JESUS CETAINLY DOESNT WANT ME FOR ONE

well religion is not as popular as it used to be, so in essence xmas for a lot of people is about the festive enjoyment

im sanitised to it all now
I am not sure 'p1sstake' ir the correct word.........but it has changed enormously over the last decade or so. I know I see a definite difference. Whether that is partly to do with no longer seeing it thru the eyes of a child is another question. But it is all certainly much more commercial.....each year it starts that little bit sooner. And if when you hear the first ads for Christmas-all you can think is'oh god no-not yet'.....then that is a good indication that christmas is not what it used to be.
and a merry crimbo to you lego lol
tis the season to be jolly
Me and my daughter watched the film on C4 tonight - The Elf, with Will Farrell - it was a feelgood film but still didn't get me in the mood for Christmas unfortunately.
Well it sounds good to me - eating too much, drinking too much, and being merry.

Seriously, both my hubby and I don't like the pressie thing. Find it embarrassing, because all our families have too much of everything (and so do we).

I think the real meaning of Christmas disappeared many years ago.
It may seem like an early start to the season, but not as early as it did about 10 years ago. It seems to be about mid-late November now but back then it was about mid-end September.

It was the year that Regent St was decked out with the good ole traditional themes of "Tango" and "Birds Eye" logo's instead of Christmas lights - a Christmas all time low as far as I'm concerned. It seemed everyone tried to step back a few steps and re-think the Christmas message a bit after that.
Well Im feeling Xmasy! The lights are twinkling, the tree is up and.....no cooking or drudgery this year cos we're staying in a hoyel for Xmas..whoopeeeee.
Hey cb, hubby and I are too and we can't wait!

Yay!!!!!!!!
